Just steps away from the many miles of motorized access, the Alpine Triangle offers stunning and diverse quiet-use opportunities.  Redcloud, Sunshine and Handies Peaks are considered some of the easiest attainable 14,000 foot summits in Colorado.  Many miles of trails exist to provide users with backcountry access for remote and solitary   backpacking, day hiking and trail running excursions.  For photographers, there may be no more a spectacular location for vistas, wildflowers and wildlife pursuits.  Rock and ice climbers will find the area perfect for their adventures with almost unlimited opportunities.  Camping can be enjoyed in either developed sites or dispersed locations.  Mountain bikers can peddle the designated roads or numerous single track trails for unprecedented vistas and challenging rides.  Snowshoers and cross country skiers will find unlimited access to the region’s spectacular views while enjoying a good workout.
